The Shift

You already know what's been
running your life. It's still running it.

A guided audio protocol that goes after the belief itself — not the symptoms it creates. Twice a week, ten minutes at a time.

$777/month  ·  No contract  ·  Cancel anytime

There's a sentence someone said to you a long time ago.

Maybe you remember the room. Maybe you only remember how it felt. A parent, a teacher, a coach — someone whose opinion counted at an age when you had no ability to question it. And in that moment you concluded something about yourself.

I'm not smart. I'm not wanted. I'm not safe. I'm not the kind of person things work out for.

You were a child. You believed them, because that's what children do. And then you built thirty, forty, fifty years of a life on top of that conclusion without ever going back to check whether it was true.

It wasn't true. It was never true. And some part of you has always known that — which is exactly why it's so maddening that knowing hasn't changed anything.

Here's why: that belief isn't stored where your logic lives. It's stored in implicit memory — the same system that holds how to ride a bike and what your grandmother's kitchen smelled like. You can't argue with it, because it never used an argument to get in. It just recorded, at a moment when your nervous system was wide open, and filed it as fact.

Affirmations don't reach it. Willpower doesn't reach it. Ten years of understanding exactly where it came from doesn't reach it — which is why so many intelligent, self-aware, well-read people can explain their pattern in perfect detail and still be completely run by it.

There is one known way to unlock that file.

Neuroscientists call it memory reconsolidation. When an emotional memory is deliberately reactivated, it becomes briefly unstable — a window of a few hours in which the brain is capable of rewriting it rather than just filing another contradicting thought beside it.

During that window, if the old learning is held directly against a piece of vivid, undeniable, lived evidence that contradicts it, the brain doesn't argue. It updates. The old belief isn't suppressed or managed or coped with.

It stops being true for you.

This is not positive thinking. This is not "replacing negative self-talk." This is the specific, reproducible mechanism by which the brain revises what it already believes — and it requires three things happening in precise sequence: reactivation, mismatch, and repetition inside the window.

The Shift is that sequence, built around your history, delivered twice a week for as long as it takes to hold.

How it works

1. You tell me what happened.

A private intake — the belief, where it started, who said it, what you concluded, and the evidence from your own life that has quietly contradicted it ever since. Twenty minutes. Nobody reads it but me.

2. I build your sessions.

Not a stock recording with your name dropped in. Eight distinct sessions a month, built from your origin scene, your counter-evidence, your people, your future. Every one is reviewed and voiced by me before it reaches you.

3. You listen twice a week, ten minutes at a time.

Headphones. Eyes closed. Two sessions a week, roughly twenty minutes of your life. Ten minutes is the floor, because reconsolidation needs the pauses — and the pauses are where the work happens. The spacing between sessions matters too: consolidation continues in the days after a session, and stacking them daily doesn't speed that up.

4. The eighth session closes the file.

The last session of each cycle runs longer. It revisits the old story one final time and lets it dissolve against a month of accumulated evidence — then seals the new identity across every area of your life you named at intake.

Choose one area per cycle

One target, eight sessions. That constraint is the design, not a limitation — split attention across four goals and you get four shallow impressions instead of one deep rewrite. Most people find that when the root belief moves, several downstream problems move with it.

  • Confidence & self-worth — the "I'm not enough" file, in whatever form it took
  • Money & financial patterns — self-sabotage, scarcity wiring, earning ceilings, avoidance (90-day track only — see below)
  • Weight, food & body image — the emotional function underneath the eating pattern
  • Smoking & habit change — trigger-level interruption, not willpower
  • Fear & phobia — graduated desensitization at a pace your system accepts
  • Grief & unfinished business — releasing the guilt without touching the love
  • Performance anxiety — speaking, competing, testing, auditioning
  • Sleep — sessions that end in drift, not in waking
  • Chronic pain & tension — dissociative pain-control paired with belief work

Finish a cycle, and next cycle you pick again.

Money work runs 90 days, not 30

Financial patterns are the one focus area I won't sell as a single cycle, and I'd rather tell you why than just charge you more.

Money beliefs almost never sit in one place. A belief formed watching a parent panic over bills doesn't only show up when you look at your bank balance — it shows up in what you'll charge, what you'll ask for, what you'll spend on yourself, and what you quietly believe you deserve. One cycle can move the root. It isn't long enough to move it everywhere it's grown to, and a client who feels a shift in month one and stops usually watches the old pattern reassemble.

So money work is sold as The 90-Day Shift — $1,997 prepaid. That's three full cycles, twenty-four sessions, and it's $334 less than paying month to month. Every other focus area stays month-to-month, cancel anytime.

The Completed-Protocol Guarantee

Listen to at least 7 of your 8 sessions in a cycle and log them. If at the end of it you honestly tell me nothing has moved, I refund that cycle in full. No forms, no argument. I ask for 7 because I can't stand behind a protocol that wasn't run — but if you run it and it does nothing for you, you shouldn't pay for it.

Start My Shift — $777/month

Takes about 20 minutes. Your first session arrives within 72 hours.

Who this is for

  • You've done the reading, the therapy, or the podcasts — and you understand your pattern completely while still living inside it
  • You can name the moment it started, or you can feel its shape even if the memory is blurry
  • You're willing to give it ten honest minutes, twice a week
  • You want the root pulled, not the symptom managed

Who this is not for

  • Anyone in acute crisis, or currently experiencing thoughts of self-harm — you deserve live human care, and I'll tell you so directly
  • Anyone looking for a substitute for treatment of a diagnosed condition. This works alongside that care, not instead of it
  • Anyone who wants change without participation. Twenty minutes a week is small. It isn't zero

Questions

Does hypnosis actually work, or is this a stage trick?

Clinical hypnosis has one of the deeper evidence bases in complementary medicine — a 2024 review in Frontiers in Psychology synthesized 49 meta-analyses covering 261 primary studies, with the strongest findings in pain, anxiety, and procedural distress, and medium-to-large effect sizes across the majority of measured outcomes. It is not a stage trick. It's also not magic: results vary by person and by issue, and the honest summary is that the evidence is strong in some areas and mixed in others.

Will I lose control or be made to do something?

No. Hypnosis is a focused, relaxed state you enter and leave voluntarily — closer to being absorbed in a film than to being unconscious. You can stop a session at any point simply by opening your eyes. Nothing in these recordings can make you act against your values.

What if I fall asleep during a session?

Common, and generally fine — the material still lands. If it happens repeatedly, move your listening earlier in the day. If you selected sleep as your focus area, the sessions are deliberately designed for you to fall asleep in them.

Why only one focus area per month?

Because reconsolidation depends on depth and repetition against one specific learning. Splitting the month across several targets gives each one too few passes to update. One target, thirty days, then choose again.

Why twice a week instead of every day?

Reconsolidation opens a window of several hours after a memory is reactivated, but the update keeps settling for days afterward. Daily sessions don't accelerate that — they mostly produce habituation, where the material becomes familiar enough that your attention slides off it and the mismatch stops landing. Spacing sessions gives each one room to consolidate and keeps the reactivation sharp. It's also the cadence most clinical work runs at, for the same reason.

Why is there a minimum of ten minutes?

The mechanism needs the pauses. A rushed version can technically contain all the steps and still fail to land, because the silence after a reactivation is where the mismatch is actually felt. Ten minutes is the shortest length I'll stand behind.

What happens to what I write in the intake?

It's used to build your sessions and nothing else. It is never sold, never shared, and never used for advertising. You can request deletion at any time by emailing marcus@theshift.energy.

How do I "log" a session?

Every session email has a one-tap link at the bottom. Press it when you've finished listening — that's the whole thing. It takes a second, it's what the guarantee is measured against, and it quietly tells me who's drifting so I can check in before a cycle gets away from you.

Can I cancel?

Any time, from your account or by replying to any email. No contract, no cancellation call, no retention script. If you cancel mid-month you keep every session already delivered.

Thirty days from now

Thirty days from now, that month is going to pass whether you do this or not. The only real question is whether you arrive at the other end of it still carrying the same sentence somebody handed you when you were six years old.

You've carried it long enough to know it doesn't leave on its own.

Please read this honestly. Clinical hypnosis is among the better-evidenced complementary interventions available — a 2024 synthesis of 49 meta-analyses covering 261 primary studies found medium-to-large effect sizes across the majority of measured outcomes, with the strongest support in pain, anxiety, and procedural distress. Memory reconsolidation is a well-documented neurological process, and this protocol is built directly on it.

That said, no one can guarantee your outcome, and I won't pretend otherwise. Evidence quality varies by condition — it is robust for some applications and genuinely mixed for others, including smoking cessation. Individual results depend on the issue, your engagement, and factors nobody can predict in advance. Any practitioner who guarantees you a specific result is either misinformed or selling you something. What I can commit to is a protocol built on the actual mechanism, personalized to your history, a full refund if you run it and it does nothing for you.

The Shift is not medical or psychological treatment and is not a substitute for care from a licensed physician or mental health professional. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. If you have a diagnosed condition, are under psychiatric care, or are taking prescribed medication, use this alongside your provider's care and tell them you're doing it. If you are in crisis or experiencing thoughts of self-harm, please contact a crisis line or emergency services — this program is not appropriate for acute crisis, and I will decline enrollment where it isn't safe.

The Shift

Your intake is in.

Thank you for trusting me with it — I know some of that wasn't easy to write down.

Your sessions aren't pulled off a shelf. I read your intake in full, map the belief and the counter-evidence you gave me, build your sessions around your specific history, and record them in my own voice — and I'd rather get that right than get it fast.

Your first session arrives within 72 hours — usually much sooner. Watch your inbox, and check your spam folder once, just in case.

FIRST
I read your intake personally and flag anything that needs a conversation before we start.
THEN
Your belief map is built and your first cycle of sessions is written around it.
THEN
Sessions are recorded, reviewed, and your Day 1 lands in your inbox.
SESSION 8
Your Integration Session — and you choose next cycle's focus.

The Shift

Thank you for telling me the truth.

That took courage to write down, and I'm not going to treat it lightly.

You told me you're having thoughts of harming yourself. I'm not going to enrol you in a recorded audio program right now — not because there's anything wrong with you, but because what you're carrying deserves a live human being who can respond to you in real time. A recording can't do that. You have not been charged, and no payment details were collected.

I've seen your intake and I'll read it myself. If you'd like, email me at marcus@theshift.energy — not for the program, just so I know how you're doing. And when things are steadier, the door here is open. I'd genuinely like to work with you then.
